This raven was taken while visiting the historical Guelph Reformatory Grounds in the early summer of 2021. Although the corrections centre and its grounds are now abandoned, it still resides to those who keep its secrets. This raven seemed to have an urgent message and was persistent in making itself known as it called from the rooftop and surrounding tree below me. Interestingly, there is a wall mural inside painted by former Indigenous inmates that are to be acknowledged and preserved. Perhaps the raven is guarding its stories.
