Poem:
Standing Tall
To you I may only be
Just another one of earths trees
But if you look beneath my protective exterior and explore
you will learn that I am so much more
I am supportive to those around
I help hold them up when they are falling down
Although I am quiet I am connected to the earth and wise
I am loyal to the secrets of many passerby's
Providing a breath of fresh air is one of my greatest features
These limbs have grown to love and sheltered many creatures
Some days I may bend and my branches may fall down
But I stand tall – My roots run deep in the ground.

This print is my very first creation combining my photography, graphic design, and poetry since 2013. I had come to an impasse careerwise in my life during COVID in Februrary 2021. It is here and then I decided to listen to what nature had been telling me all along–stay creative and stay true to your nature. Hence the beginning of launching my business and relearning creative programs. This image was taken on the Lions Lake Trail In Elmira. Also available on canvas.
